Tributes have been paid to a Scottish tourist who died after falling from a balcony in Turkey.
Anthony McDowall, 28, from Glasgow, had been visiting Istanbul with pals on the time of the accident.
Local stories stated he fell from a ledge on the seventh ground of a lodge after dropping his stability.
Mr McDowall was reportedly pronounced lifeless on the scene of the incident in the Beyoglu district of the Turkish capital.
The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office stated: “We are supporting the household of a British man following his demise in Turkey and are in contact with the native authorities.”
Mr McDowall’s former soccer group, Southside United AFC, posted on Facebook: “We are devastated to listen to the information of the passing of Tony McDowall while on vacation.
“Tony performed an enormous position after we gained promotion to the premier division. Tony was an amazing participant and extra importantly an amazing man.
“Our ideas are along with his household & pals. RIP Tony.”
