Brexit: Farmer fears ‘inferior produce’ could distort market


A Devon farmer says she fears there may be “each likelihood” of being “offered down the river” if meals requirements aren’t maintained after Brexit.

Cathy Case from Bigbury-on-Sea stated the potential of cheaper, “inferior” merchandise on account of a potential US commerce deal could threaten her farm.

MPs struck down a Lords modification to the Agriculture Bill to drive commerce offers to satisfy UK animal welfare and meals security guidelines earlier this week.
