Alex Beresford ignores Piers Morgan’s accusations as he has fun cuddling goats

Alex Beresford has found the perfect way to get away from the furore surrounding Piers Morgan’s interviews on US television and the accusations he made about the TV weatherman.

The 40-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter has yet to comment on Piers and him taking aim during a week of tell-all interview stateside, and his Instagram post has show the reason why.

Alex looks like he has been getting at one with nature as he is pictured cuddling a couple of pygmy goats on his Instagram Story and in a post he has shared with his 143,000 followers.

In a time in which Piers has said that he had a determination to bring him down, Alex is seen having a wild time with the tiny goats.

Alex posted a joyous black and white snap with the animals, as he looks to be laughing deeply with the goats in his arms.

He captioned the pic: “Bruh!!! That was a funny joke! #pygmygoats ”

This came after Piers was dismissive of Alex on US TV and said that he was only a “stand-in weather guy”.

He told viewers across the Atlantic that Alex was not a journalist but an ‘occasional’ addition to the team that he had personally asked him to come on to the show to share his contrasting thoughts about Meghan for a hearty debate – which culminated in Piers storming off.

Piers said: “He’s the stand-in weather guys who does the weather occasionally. He’s not a journalist. But he’s somebody that I’ve helped with his career a number of times when he’s asked me to.

“And he’s somebody who occasionally takes part in our debates in the way that you might see Al Roker doing with Today Show, similar kind of thing. But he’s not there very often.

“But, I had specifically asked for him to come in that morning because he had sent me a private message in which he expressed some concern about what he felt was — I wasn’t really understanding where Meghan Markle was coming from as a biracial woman.

“He was himself biracial and he wanted to explain to us. I said, well come on air. Let’s have the conversation.

“But the moment he came on air, he came with a pretty premeditated attack on me on a pretty personal level, and, frankly, I just wasn’t going to have it.”
